ATS at the annual meeting of the algology group of the Italian Botanical Society

In the occasion of the scientific annual meeting of the algology group of the Italian Botanical Society, the most important event totally focused on the study of seaweed, ATS will present the progresses of the nearly ended @lgaWarning project (EUROTRANS-BIO EuroTrans-Bio 12th Transnational Call F/00028/02/X37).

The Mediterranean Sea has, like many other marine environments, is more and more affected by periodic, seasonal microalgae blooms. In many cases the major actors of this events are organisms able to produce toxins causing economical, ecological and huma health damages, therefore monitoring these events, it is mandatory to protect coastal communities.

The project @lgaWarning, leaded by ETT spa, aims to help environmental protection agencies introducing in the routineer monitoring informatization to make their work faster and smarter; to design and test high-tech devices for autonomous algal monitoring and infield analysis; to assess the risk linked to some species with a newly in-vitro multimethod approach.
